ChikuPiku storybooks are published 10 times a year, two of which are special editions, 'Sutti Visheshank' from July-May and 'Diwali Visheshank' from October-November all of which are home delivered throughout India.[1]. ChikuPiku is not only known for the storybooks but also for organizing events like carnivals, puppet shows, webinars for parents, etc. ChikuPiku also provides free audio stories of their monthly books for kids and parents to listen to[2]
History:
[edit]ChikuPiku is a monthly Marathi storybook and Parenting platform that was established by Amruta Kawankar and Govind Kabade in 2018. The inspiration behind starting this Chikupiku venture was their daughter "Mukta". Nearly a year was spent doing research and talking with people who are working closely with children to understand how puzzles should be put together, what pictures should look like, and the size of objects to keep children engaged. On February 10, 2019, Chikupiku's first magazine was finally launched and received a great response from parents and love from children.
Audio Stories:
[edit]ChikuPiku offers audio stories in Marathi for toddlers, kids, and parents from all the previous monthly issues. The Marathi audiobooks also help children in developing a love for books. These audiobooks are available on their website along with different audio streaming channels like Spotify, Anchor FM, and Google Podcast.
Events:
[edit]ChikuPiku has also been organizing various events for both kids as well as parents. Carnival was one of them, conducted as a full-day event, that took place at the Zapurza Art Museum that included various activities like singing, games, craft, a puppet show, etc. The response from the parents and kids was great, as it was filled with fun activities.
