Davenport Country Club is a private country club located in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. This club contains an 18-hole, par-71 course, swimming pool with diving boards, and tennis facility. The golf course plays 6,761 uards from the championship tees (blue tees). The present clubhouse was designed in 1970 after a fire burnt down the previous, redesigned "Old Barn" clubhouse. The course has been site to multiple championships, exclusively known for hosting two Western Opens.

Early History The club was designed in 1924 by Charles Hugh Alison of the Colt & Alison firm. The course's fame grew very quickly as it hosted its first major tournament in 1936 for the Western Open, today the BMW championship. Well named players travelled to play at Davenport CC again in 1951 for the Western Open. These two major tournaments are just some of the tournaments held by the club. The original clubhouse, called the "Old Barn" was built in 1924 with the club, redesigned in 1959, but burnt down in a fire in 1969.
