Guru Turiya[edit]

First Edition Cover Page by Sharadha Saraswati

Guru Turiya is a mystic, a Yogi living in the Mountain ranges of the Great Himalayas in India. A loving Guru to a very few chosen disciples. His spiritual journey began from ‘The Great Mount of Girnar,’ in the culturally rich state of Gujarat in India, where he had lived a good part of his early childhood under the guidance of many great YOGIS and GURUS.

It is here, that he met with his first spiritual Guru, who installed in him a great urge to seek the Divine Within. His mother is believed to be a Great Healer of good repute and an extremely pious woman. It is with her blessings and the blessing of many Sages, with whom Guru Turiya had a chance to spend his childhood that he set out following his Guru’s footsteps to embrace a life full of Devotion and Dhyana (deep contemplation).

He is the Author of the Book, "The Wives Of Unmarried Men." [1][2]It is only after years of pleading, by his devoted disciples, that he has agreed to publish some of his works, which are just few excerpts from his personal meditation diary, where he jots down meticulously many vivid experiences of his Dhyana. Like the works of many great Gurus, even his work is not easy to understand, he speaks in riddles; there is always two sides to his works – one that you see with your naked eyes and mind, and the other which can only be seen with the help of your wisdom, a keen vision and a mind trained to grasp the very subtle and higher spiritual aspects of life.

Guru Turiya says, that - “This life as we perceive it – is nothing but a product of ‘MAYA,’ (Illusion). What we see is not what really exists. Man is afraid to embrace that truth. Every moment he lives, every day he spends, he is constantly and continuously drifting away from that truth comfortably.”

“It’s is nothing more than a Great Shadow, But Man calls it a NIGHT, and he strongly believes in that lie and forces his children to believe in it too,” If you have to communicate with such a MAN, Guru Turiya says, that you have to speak about a thing that does not exist in order to teach him about something that really exists. Life is such a great endless cycle of The Truth and The Untruth.

Soul igniting . . . a must read for everybody born out of a woman . . . it will definitely trigger something beyond your emotions . . . i am a retired school teacher, in my late 60s, a single parent from India, people who know how our Indian societies function will be able to understand the complexities and the down side of it.... have had my share of ups and downs. i never knew a man could understand a woman just like this. i finished the book in less than 3 hours....the author has more than managed to speak my mind, or perhaps, any woman's mind for that matter, better than a woman. he has brought before me my pains and sacrifices of Motherhood. "Songs of the Betrayed" are my favorite.

Wow!!!! I just Loved This Book. I never thought Poetry could be this interesting - such a nice way of telling a story that is full of mystery- suspense - spirituality and a Divine message; better than many Fiction Books Out there, I must say. He says that the book is to be continued - hope he does it soon - waiting to see 'Who the Wives were and why did they call themselves the wives of Unmarried Men?' - "Songs of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.....that was simply AWSM!!!

"Hurting within us –

Like a savage claw

we hurtfully remove together -

The thorns and the thrones."

Read it to Believe it. i am reading it again and again and again and again!!!!

Well from the moment I started reading this book of poetry, I have realized that how difficult it is to be a woman on this earth and on the other hand how endearing womanhood is.Guru Turiya has beautifully captured the Joy and the turmoils of women. And it does amaze me to know that still in this cruel world some men exists who regard women so much. Well written Guru Turiya.......this book can be called the best. Definitely a must read.
