Halfdan M. Hanson, Architect

Halfdan M. Hanson (1884-1952), born in Tonsberg, Norway, emigrated to the United States as an infant. He was most noted for his longtime collaboration with interior designer Henry Davis Sleeper, the owner of the Beauport, Sleeper-McCann House in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He was also the architect of or contributor to over 100 properties throughout the United States. Other notable properties designed by Mr. Hanson include Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, which is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
