New article name goes here' new article content ...' Jack Rodney Laundon was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire on 28th July 1934. He worked at the Natural History Museum in London, from 1952 until 1990, specialising in Lichens. Jack played a significant role in the development of the British Lichen Society from 1958 onwards. In 2007 Jack was awarded the Ursula Duncan Award in recognition of these services.
