Bhagavathi Parambath Janardhanan NairBhagavathi Parambath Janardhanan (Born 14 October 1945 -) aka B.Janardhanan Nair (Nickname : Unni) born in orthodox family as sixth son of Achuthan Nair Nellippeyil , Kommeri and Bhagavathi Parambath Narayani Amma Iringallur in the year of 1945 October 14 in Kozhikode ( Calicut) District of Kerala

Family and Early years

His father Achuthan Nair was from Brahmin Community and Mother was from a Nair Family. They had 7 children’s.( 6 sons & 1 daughter) Father was Cashier in Railway Service during British Rule and was well known landlord in that area during those days and was also a prominent intermediary. Achuthan Nair lost his job in an regrettable incident. He shared his railway travel pass to a poor man for taking his son for annaprasanna (choroon) in Pazhani temple. Railway official came to know about this and resulted in termination of Achuthan Nair’s Job.

Family life after that was despondent, so Achuthan Nair started a business in Kommeri.

During intermediate Janardhanan got into Government Service in 1967. All his brothers and sister also was in Government Service.

Marriage and Official Years

Janardhanan Nair got married with Usha Devi from Vadakke Veettil family in 1976 Feb 8. They have a son and a daughter.Janardhanan Nair started his career in Revenue Dept of Kerala Government and retired from Government Service in October 2000.For six years he was under deputation with DRDA (District Rural Developmental Agency) an autonomous body under district collector Calicut (now Kozhikode).During 30 years his illustrious government service he has worked in various governmental departments in Kozhikode and Wayand Districts. His Daughter currently works as lecturer in Pre University in Kerala and son in a IT MNC as Project Manager at Bangalore.

Retirement Years

After retirement Janardhanan Nair is now closely associated with many organizations, committees and rural developmental initiatives. As well known philanthropist in Balussery and Nanminda village areas some of his associations include

-Chairman and Convener village road development programs -Former president of Government retired service employees association -Management committee member Balussery corporative arts and Science College

Currently he is founding president of Self Help Group, a village micro financing NGO under the direction of NABARD
