Dongtou, Wenzhou City, the only name of a county title of the provincial scenic area, is located 39 sea miles outside of Wenzhou Ou Eguchi the oceans, is one of the country's 12 island counties, from 103 islands, known as "100 Island County," said.It brings out the best in each other together with the national-level scenic resort and historic sites of the Yangdangshan Mountain and the Nanxi River, which forms a tourist golden tri-angle of “mountain-river-sea” of Wenzhou City. The scenic area of the Banping Mountain has a natural huge screen carved in rocks, which is reputed as “the best screen on the sea of China” and can be called a wonder of China. The islands in the scenic area are steep and beautiful. They have golden sand and blue sea with fantastic landscapes of unique charm.The main marine resources are petroleum and natural gas as well as iron and manganese deposits which are found along the coast and on the continental shelf of the Eastern China Sea. The tidal belt of the eastern coastal counties, with an area of over 100,000 hectares, breeds razor clams, sea clams, oysters, shrimps, crabs and hard clams.

　　Dongtou located at the southeast of Wenzhou and 33 sea miles away from the downtown.Dongtou consists of 168 islands and 259 rock roups. Therefore, Dongtou has remarkable sea scenery and is regarded as a summer resort.There are some beauty spots, including Xiandie Rock, Banping Mountain, Dayu Island and Damen Island; some fascinating scene, such as Shiqi, Tanjia, Jiaomei and Shuiqing; Some charming sea scenery like rosy clouds, open sea, seabirds, sail and sunrise.

• Xiandie Rock

Xiandie Rock is the combination of beach, huge rock and reef. This layered fancy view is praised as "Ocean Bonsai", since there is a long and narrow trench in the Xiandie Rock and the huge waves strick the rocks and cause loud echoes. When visitors stand infront of the rock, they will appreciate the well-bedded views.

• Dashaqiaohai outdoor bathing place

Dashaqiaohai outdoor bathing place located at the South Battery Mountain. The Dashaqiaohai beach is 450meters long and 400meters width.It is embraced on three sides by green hills and forms a spill.The sand is delicate and clean, the seawater is clear and transparent. When visitors swimming in the sea, they also can collect shell, catch crabs and cook fish.

• Bird Island

Shuangfeng Island, Beibai Island and Nanbai Island is the habitat for amount of migrant birds. During the summer, thousands of migrant birds arrive at Bird Island to start their propagation. Sea gulls,egrets and sea swallow fly on the sky, fight for food and make various sounds. When visitors stand in front of the Bird Island, they are emerging in a World of Birds.

• Wanghai Tower

Wanghai Tower is in the top of the Ben Island, with the 227m altitude, 140.9yl area. The main tower is 2700meter square and 35.4m high. The third floor and fifth floor have observation corridor, so visitors can appreciate the view of Dongtou, Fishing Ground and Banping Mountain in the southern part, new and old urban in the eastern part, seven cross-sea bridges in the western part and sea and islands in the northern part. The first floor displays the cultural history and model of the whole city. The second floor displays the model of fishing boats. The third floor illustrates the lifestyle in the Fishing Ground. The forth floor illustrateds the producing style in Dongtou. Wanghai Tower, the landmark of Dongtou, established 1500 years before.

• Maoerduo

This food has a special name “ cat ear”, but the main ingredient for this food is Sweet potato starch and some white sugar. Firstly, put some sweet potato starch and white sugar together and mix them uniformity. Then add some water to knead dough and shape it as triangle. Put the ingredients inside the dough.

• Moyu Cake

Moyu Cake is make by the viscera of the cuttlefish which is one of the most economic type of fish in the Dongtou fishing ground and this fish flourish in the spring.People will collect some essence inside the viscera of the cuttlefish and combine them together in the thick shape. Every time the cook will pour some oil in the wok and fry the cuttlefish until it turns into yellow. People can store it after drying or cook it as the seasoning.

• Sweet potato starch

Dongtou has many hills, so the main crop is sweet potato. Sweet potatoes not only can be processed into sweet potato silk and sweet potato slices, but also can extract starch. Peel the sweet potatoes after cleaning them, mix them into powder state and then put them into a plastic bag. Press the bag and the starch in the sweet potatoes will flow into the water. After precipitation, condensation and drying, sweet potato starch is made completely. This starch has pure white color, delicate texture and plenty of nutrients.
