José González-García is a Spanish medical doctor and scientific researcher from London, England. He was born in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain on September 2, 1967.
He qualified as a medical doctor in 1991 at the Universities of Aachen, in Germany, and Oviedo, in Spain. In 1993 he moved to London, where he completed his post-graduate training, becoming a GP in 1999. During this time, he obtained the Diploma of Child Health, the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. He has always been involved in research and has published several scientific papers. He also has a PhD in cancer research. He has worked as an NHS General Practitioner in Westminster and Chelsea, London. In 2005 he completed an MSc in Public Health & Infectious Diseases, field that has now become one of his main clinical interests.
Due to this wide experience, he has worked for different international organisations (Amnesty International, Médecins Sans Frontières, European Union, WHO) as a medical advisor and has travelled all over the world. He is fluent in Spanish, German, French and Italian. Apart from having a wealth of experience in all aspects of General Medicine, his main interests are in Sexual Health and HIV, as well as Aesthetic Medicine and Dermatology including dermal fillers, facial reconstructing and anti-wrinkle treatments.
He has worked at a private practice in Harley Street, London for eight years. At the same time, he is also very involved in clinical governance and medical regulation, working as a GP Appraiser and QOF Assessor for Westminster Primary Care Trust. He is now a GP partner at a practice in Lancaster Gate, London.
