Kenneth Sebastian or Kenny Sebastian is a famous Indian Stand Up Comedian and musician based in Mumbai, India. He is also a actor, writer and musician. From creating a improv sketch show for Comedy Central at the age of 21 to having a one hour comedy special (Don't be that guy) and an original series (Die Trying) on Amazon Prime Video. He is one of the most prominent comedians in the country today. Kenny is managed by Only Much Louder (OML) based in Mumbai.

Personal Life And Family[edit]

Kenny was born on 31st December 1991 in a Malayali family.He was brought up in different parts of India as his parents -Father was a navy personnel.After his Dad's retirement,his family settled in Bangalore.

Career[edit]

During his school days,he got interested in film making.Kenny started making films when he was 15. He was always a student of art. He completed his bachelor’s in painting and meanwhile experimented with Theatre, Music, and Comedy. By the time Kenny turned 23, he had already directed 12 short films and 2 feature films.

Kenny Sebastian always had a thing for the stage. He was very quickly attracted to one when he was only 19. He attended a stand-up comedy competition in IIT-Mumbai and it turned out great. After having tasted the success in that competition, Kenny felt that it is his way out for future. He has a smart and enthusiastic soul which has given him immense success. In such young age, Kenny has a great contribution to changing the face of Comedy in India. From his first YouTube video “9 Hours to live”, he became a familiar face on the Internet and then never looked back ever since.

  • Kenny Sebastian has performed in over 500 shows, wrote and acted in shows, and has worked with many famous national as well as international comedians such as Vir Das, Phil Nichol (UK), Raj Sharma(US, HBO), Imran Yusuf(UK), Tanmay Bhat of AIB and many more.
  • He traveled to New York with Abish Mathew performing in prestigious New York Comedy Club, Laughing Skull in Atlanta, followed by the West Side Comedy Theatre in Los Angeles.
  • In 2014, He along with three renowned personalities, Kaneez Surka, Abish Mathew and Kanan Gill in the field of stand-up comedy, initiated the “The Improvisers” which turned out to be one of the highest rated Improv group in the country.
  • He wrote and directed a season of “India’s first improve sketch show” popular as “The Living Room” aired on the Comedy Central in Dec 2014.
  • Kenny owns a music and film studio (a production house) called “SuperHuman Studioz” which is where all the content of his YouTube channel comes from. The subscribers on his YouTube channel are around 350k with over 28 million views.
  • His various YouTube Special contributions like “Journey to the Centre of my Brain”, “Inside-out”, “Awenest” have gathered him a huge fan following.
  • He also created the first Indian Science fiction web series “Star Boyz” in collaboration with Naveen Richard.
