Chiswick High Road

[edit]

Chiswick High Road is the main thoroughfare running through the centre of Chiswick in west London. To the east, it is continuous with King Street, Hammersmith. To the west, it first meets Chiswick Roundabout, where it links with major routes to the west (A4, M4) and north (A406), and then continues to become Kew Bridge Road, which crosses the River Thames southwards via Kew Bridge.

Much of Chiswick life centres on Chiswick High Road. Canopied by huge, mature plane trees, it has exceptionally wide pavements for much of its length, where many cafés and pubs provide outside seating.
