Deep Love Opera new article content ...

In 2008 folk musician Ryan Hayes met rock and blues artist, Garrett Sherwood and immediately recognized him as the "finest musical talent in Rexburg, Idaho." The two soon began collaborating on various musical projects.

In 2010 Hayes and Sherwood began writing a rock opera, titled, Deep Love. In this original work, the show blends traditional folk instruments and melodies with bluesy American rock to tell the tale of jealous love’s tragic reach beyond the grave.[1]

The theatrical show boasts a dynamic cast featuring American Idol finalist Jon Peter Lewis as Old Bones, Garrett Sherwood as Friedrich, Erica Rascon as Constance and Mallorie Lamb as Florence.

Since its debut performance in 2010, the rock opera has garnered overwhelming support and immediate fan loyalty that has now vaulted the show into a growing theatrical event throughout Utah and Eastern Idaho.

The story is told entirely through continuous, haunting music that blends traditional folk instruments and melodies with bluesy American rock. Happy, sad, fun, entertaining, sexy, heartwarming and heartbreaking, it is intended to be enjoyed by all audiences.
