Early Life[edit]

Aurora Blake, Bellamy Blake and Octavia's mother, was forced to keep her second pregnancy a secret because of the one-child law on the Ark. A young Bellamy watched his mother give birth to his sister and even helped keep her quiet after the birth. Aurora told Bellamy that Octavia was his responsibility. Because Octavia was an illegal second child, she had to be hidden in their room, and must not leave the room. During inspections by an Ark Guards, Octavia was forced to hide under the floor and wait quietly until they were done. Bellamy kept telling her to tell herself, "I am not afraid." After all, she was sent to juvenile lockup for being a second child which was against the law on the Ark, after finding out about her existence by the Ark Guards.

Storyline[edit]

Season 1 & 2[edit]

Ninety-seven years after a devastating nuclear apocalypse wiped out almost all life on Earth, thousands of people lived in the Ark space station orbiting Earth. Three generations have been born in space. Living in the Ark space station, it was discovered that the Ark was running out of oxygen and the life-support systems began to fail, and it was estimated 6 months' worth left. One hundred juvenile were sent down to Earth to determine whether it is habitable, test the air and see if it was livable again, or at least save resources for the remaining residents of the Ark. Due to Octavia Blake's status of the prisoner, she was sent down to the Earth with 99 other delinquents (The 100), including Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor), Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley), Finn Collins (Thomas McDonell), Jasper Jordan (Devon Bostick), Monty Green (Christopher Larkin), and John Murphy (Richard Harmon). They discovered that some clans had survived the apocalypse: the Grounders, the Reapers, and the Mountain Men. Thanks to Octavia, who embraced Grounder culture earlier than others and started speaking Trigedasleng (the Grounder language), The Groudners and The 100 began an alliance to save both their people, naming the main settlement at Alpha Station "Camp Jaha". Octavia met Lincoln from the clan the Grounders who became her boyfriend in later episodes.

Season 3 & 4[edit]

Alpha Station has been renamed Arkadia, and was under Pike's rule when he has been elected as chancellor and began a war with the Grounders. Pike also killed Lincoln, Octavia's boyfriend and she witnessed this situation what was a heartbreaking experience for the character. The huge amount of nuclear reactors started melting down, which caused much of the planet to become uninhabitable again. An old bunker was discovered that can protect 1,200 people for over five years from the new apocalypse [1]. Octavia fought and won the "Final Conclave" for the right of her people to live in the bunker. However, she decided to let all 12 clans live together, and each of the 12 clans selected a hundred people to stay in the bunker and to become one clan called "WONKRU". Octavia became the leader in the bunker, and she had a huge responsibility. She needed to make smart moves, the only right choices to be able to survive 5 years in one bunker with over 1000 people. She must have become a consistent, resourceful, and absolute person. She couldn't show any weaknesses.

Season 5[edit]

Octavia reluctant on being the leader, she tried to make peace with everyone, but it became more difficult due to overpopulation which prevents her from keeping peace inside the bunker. Octavia took matters into her own hands by killing anyone who went against her. She started being called "Blodreina" [2] (the Red Queen) because of covering herself in the blood of people she had killed. During the time spent in the bunker, Octavia underwent a tremendous change in her personality. She became more dark[3] and hateful that led to her ruthless actions as ruler of Wonkru, including murdering anyone who tries to defect. In Shallow Valley, the last green place on Earth that wasn't destroyed by the apocalypse, only Octavia didn't want peace. She wanted to fight for this piece of land, regardless of how many deaths it would cause. However, the valley was destroyed by one of the Eligius' prisoners, rendering the Earth completely uninhabitable. Unfortunately, after this Earth wasn't able to reborn.

Season 6 & 7[edit]

Earth became unsurvivable. After 125 years in cryosleep, traveling through the stars, Octavia and her friends woke up in a new home, Sanctum. Place where they could try again, but they were given one simple task: do better, be the good guys. After arrival on Sanctum, Octavia was exiled by her brother, Bellamy, due to her actions on Earth and she started working with Diyoza, who was also exiled. After recovering from the poison, she decided to seek redemption for her actions and declares herself Blodreina no more. She went through a huge change in her character again. Sanctum appeared not to be the as perfect place as all of them thought. This place was full of mystery. One of them was the Anomaly, which was the wormhole, that sent Octavia to another planet named Skyring. Eventually, she and Diyoza were captured by a group called the Disciples and brought to another planet named Bardo, where she met and formed a bond with Levitt. She joined the Disciples and became a loyal follower to their cause, but is discovered to be feigning her allegiance. In the end, Octavia convinced the two factions to stand down and stop killing each other. She wanted to avoid another war. Due to this action, she passed the Final Test [4], the Judge's judgment and saved humanity leading to the Transcendence of humanity. Earth reborn and became liveable again and Octavia along with friends chose to return to human form in order to live out life on Earth.

Reception[edit]

While on Earth, Octavia faced many challenges: learning to be free, fighting to survive, trying to get into dangerous areas and save friends, and keeping over 1000 people together peacefully in one bunker. During all of these days on Earth, "The Girl Under the Floor" experienced so many emotions, phases of happiness and darkness,or even deep heartbreaks that she could have never expected. She needed to face all of the various difficulties that stood in her way what made her stronger. Earth created her as a powerful, independent woman.
