Mr. B's is located at 201 Royal Street, at the corner of Royal and Iberville streets; the French Quarter's most celebrated food corner.

The building was built in the 1860's and this corner has been a New Orleans landmark. In 1868 this once quiet corner was transformed into Solari's Market. New Orleanians came from all over town to visit the soda fountain / lunch counter and to shop in the specialty gourmet grocery which also specialized in rare liquors, exquisite candy and imported cookies. Solari's closed it's doors in 1965.

Fourteen years later in 1979 Cindy Brennan and her famous restaurant family opened Mr. B's and Cindy Brennan continues to operate the restaurant today.

Paul Prudhomme is a famous alumni chef of Mr. B's having been the opening chef. Chef Paul's dishes include the famous Gumbo Ya Ya (chicken and Andouille sausage).

Mr. B's has received prestigious recognitions from the James Beard Foundation, Zagat, DiRoNa, Food & Wine Magazine, Travel & Leisure, and Bon Appetit.

Among many dignitaries, three presidents have dined at Mr. B's; Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, WIlliam Jefferson Clinton.

Mr. B's suffered catastrophic damage in August 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina and was closed for 20 months for full renovation. The restaurant re-opened it's doors on April 16, 2007.
