Colletotrichum trifolii is a fungal plant pathogen of alfalfa, causing the disease alfafa anthracnose. It is a biotroph, obtaining nutrients from the living plant cells before forming asexual spores.

It consists of three 'races'. Races 1 and 2 are found in North America, while race 4 is found in Australia. Race 3 is believed to have been a misidentification of another fungal species.

Cultivars which are resistant to C. trifolii infection are used in a attempt to manage the disease.
