Lies about George Zimmerman (and Trayvon Martin) by the media, by prosecutors, or by others, and reported by the media as fact[edit]

That GZ is 250 lbs and guilty looking in his orange county jail jumpsuit and that TM was 11 or 12 years old and had an innocent, angelic smile. (inappropriate juxta of photos—too many TV networks and websites to mention).
That GZ had a criminal record. (GZ's crime was shoving an undercover police officer, unbeknownst to GZ, who was investigating underage drinking and harassing GZ's friend. Weren't the charges dropped when he entered a "diversion" program, leaving his record clean?)
That GZ is violent. (like the Tea Party, I suppose)
That GZ is a racist. (like the Tea Party, I suppose—oh, wait! he's a registered Democrat!)
That GZ racially profiled Trayvon Martin. (this shooting has nothing to do with race)
That GZ profiled TM. (the Corey affidavit—at best an inflammatory half-truth very likely to be misunderstood)
That GZ confronted TM. (the Corey affidavit. no evidence whatsoever supports this)
That GZ attacked TM. (no evidence for this—quite the reverse)
That GZ killed TM in cold blood. (no evidence supports this claim)
That GZ "executed" TM. (Congressman, member of the CBC)
That GZ followed TM and shot him like a rabid dog. (female CBC Congresswoman in cowboy hat)
That GZ shot TM in the back of the head. (Jesse Jackson)
