I recently uploaded my US History PhD dissertation on politics and progressivism in the 1920s, defended and approved by my committee at Columbia University, to its own website, and most of my edits for the moment *were* focused on making this non-partisan historical research available to visitors of the Wikipedia pages where the information available is relevant.

It took about five or six links of doing this, however, to run up against exactly the type of hyper-territorial editors of a Republican bent that are known to afflict this site. So, yeah, probably won't be spending much time here. It's too bad, because I thought much more highly of Wikipedia before peeking behind the curtain.
