Khalid Shahzad is a Pakistani activist for disability rights, Children, women and minority rights and religious tolerance. KHALID is a former vice-chairman national peace committee for interfaith and harmony government of Pakistan Punjab Chapter. He was appointed by Swiss Lady Dorothea as a Director in Dorothea center for special children a free training center for special children for the promotion of PEACE AND TOLERANCE among Muslims and Christians.
Biography[edit]
KHALID Shahzad the activist began working in 1990 at grassroots level, working with the community to promote mother and child health, disability rights, Child labor, Aid awareness program, Adult education and women’s education.[1] He was a member Asian-pacific peace and development services Alliance; Member of South Asia Subregional Forum on Youth Volunteerism, he was a member of the Asian conference for disability S. Korea, which promotes freedom of expression and disability rights, justice, dignity and equality. KHALID joined Caritas Pakistan as coordinator in Rawalpindi Islamabad diocese, and Raiwind diocese as a trainee in women disk for adult education programs in 1995.
In 1998, he was appointed by Education foundation as a coordinator of the child labor Schools in Lahore for the promotion of their health, education and to protect from sexual harassment and physical torture,
In 2000, He was appointed as a director at Dorothea center for special children in Lahore.
