Mitchell Hope is an Australian actor and singer, known for playing as the sone of Beauty and the Beast in the films Descendants (2015)[1], the sequel Descendants 2 (2017), and the third instalment Descendants 3 (2019).[2]


Early life

Hope was born in Melbourne, Australia. His mothers' name is Lisa. He has brothers named Jonah and Tobias. He auditioned as Prince Ben and was the lucky contender to play the part. Whilst, was brought to Los Angeles for the movie Descendants.

Career

In 2006, Hope played as Amir in an Australian short film[3]

Hope starred in the television film Descendants which premiered on July 31, 2015. The film was viewed by 6.6 million people. Hope reprised his role as Prince Ben in Descendants 2, the sequel to Descendants, in 2017.[4][5] The film premiered on July 21, 2017. The Descendants 2 soundtrack debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200, with "It's Goin' Down" from the soundtrack debuting at #81.[6] This became Cameron's third Hot 100 entry, following "Rotten to the Core" and "If Only". In 2019, He will reprise his role again in descendants 3.
