Early years[edit]
Lil Twist is a rapper from Dallas, TX, who was discovered by Lil Wayne after opening for him at a local concert. Lil Wayne was so impressed with Twist’s flow that he flew him to Atlanta to see if his stage performance would translate in the studio.Twist passed the test and was signed to YME.
But while Lil Twist is young, he’s certainly not a rookie. At age 10, he scored a No. 1 hit in Dallas for six consecutive weeks with a track called “Texas Twist.” Beyond music, he just completed filming a movie with Ice Cube and Bow Wow called called Lottery Ticket.

lil twist is currently apart of Lil Wayne's Young Money clique, featuring label mates Nicki Minaj, Drake, Gudda Gudda, Mack Maine, Lil Chuckee, Jae Millz, Tyga, T-Streets and Shanell.
