Chris Mavity[edit]

Chris Mavity (born May 18, 1961) is a ministry coach, pastor, author, and consultant. Mavity was an integral part of the multi-site church movement which began at North Coast Church in Vista, California. He leads the coaching team at Church Community Builder.

North Coast Church, Sticky Teams & North Coast Training[edit]

In 1997, Mavity joined the North Coast Church leadership team. He began by creating a video worship venue that ultimately led to the multi-church movement. Additionally, he pastored the small-groups ministry at North Coast for five years[1]. During that time, he grew the small groups ministry to include more than 80% of adult attendees on a weekly basis[2]. North Coast Church is known for designing the Sticky Teams conference. North Coast Training is a ministry focused on equipping church leaders through trainings, one-to-one coaching, organizational consulting and resources.

Your Volunteers[edit]

In 2014, Chris Mavity published his first book, Your Volunteers. The book is based on Mavity's experience leading volunteers with the goal of moving people from "come and see to come and serve"[2]. Prior to the launch of the book, Mavity shared his insights on volunteering with Church Community Builder, a church management software company where Mavity is a strategic partner.[3] For a number of years, Mavity led the Sticky Teams conference which is a by-product of North Coast Training.[4]
