Wall Street Oasis (WSO) is an online, financial career resource where registered members can submit finance-related content, such as questions, articles, or direct links. Overview

[edit]

The primary goal of Wall Street Oasis is to help educate young finance professionals and students as they approach critical career decisions. Finance professionals learn about other related fields, network with other members, and even apply to specific jobs that interest them. Wall Street Oasis is know for giving transparency to industries with little public information and rampant misinformation. WSO accomplishes this through the WSO Company Database and a forum platform that allows anonymity, but fosters respect. WSO does this by utilizing the “Certified User program” which allows employees at top firms to share their insights without a public display of information. Wall Street Oasis was named one of the Top 50 Business Blogs in 2009 by Strategist News and is partnered with the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University to make the Wall Street Oasis Guides available to students for free through their career centers.
