The Sun Finance Group ("Sun Finance") is an online and mobile lending platform. It is headquartered in Riga, Latvia and was founded in 2017. Sun Finance operates in a range of consumer lending product segments, including microloans,

lines of credit, instalment loans and point of sales. Sun Finance currently operates in seven countries: Latvia, Poland, Kazakshstan, Denmark, Mexico, Sweden and Vietnam.

History and founder

Sun Finance was founded in 2017 by Toms Jurjevs, who has been its CEO since formation. Previously he was the Managing Director 4Finance Baltics region. He studied economics and business at Stockholm School of Economics Riga.

Geographical presence and operations

Sun Finance provides mobile loans to consumers and is currently represented in Europe, Central America, Central Asia and South East Asia. The Group operates with a decentralised regional operating structure, with separate customer care, debt collection teams as well as dedicated finance, IT and risks & data science team members from HQ.

The Group currently has 11 brands across 7 countries, with the first entrance being in Latvia in 2017. Key funding sources of the Group are mintos peer to peer platform as well as bonds issued on Nasdaq CSD.
