Tamin or Remin, is the largest sub-family of Tagin clan which falls under Tani tribe. Tamin people are mostly found in upper subansiri, east, west, upper Siang Distry and some parts of Tibet (which was a free area before 1962).

POPULATION

Tamin's accurate population has never been census but it is believe to have 20,000+ living souls. It is the Largest family among the tagins and Consist of many branch families like, Atu (grandfather) Mindi ku (son)

Nasi,Nalo, Atu  Japo's ku, Pola, Atu Janu's ku Nakam, Nayam, Negia, Neba and Nutik .  This are just known ones, sons of our two (jaji and Jaya)  Atu are still missing. 

Lineage 

Tani > Niha > Harin > Rindo > Dodum > Dumni > Nibe > Bere > Remin/Tamin This is how Tamin came into existence. They share blood line with many nishi family and Niyshi consider them as fellow nyishi just as Achi Dopum clan mate relate them to be the son of achi Dopum. Whereas it is matter to debate whether they comes under Dodum or Dopum. The above genealogy is based on my research.
