Nigerian Female Artist: Painters Very little information is available online about African contemporary female visual artist especially painters. Many contemporary artist in Africa in the twenty-first century learn their skills from European modeled art curriculums from local schools. This is why it's very common to find works produce in this region that easily compete with works created by European artists elsewhere. In recent times works by some African artist in countries like Nigeria attracts high prices and are sort after by foreign collectors. Female artist in this region also pull their weight in the field and can be linked with some great works out there. Notable among the female artists are:
