Sharon Lia (aka the Sharon Lia Band) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and writer whose genres have been classified as rock, pop/rock, and orchestral rock. She has won several Josie Music Awards including Artist of the Year in the "Rock Category". Lia has toured extensively in the US and performed at the Firefly Music Festival in 2018 sharing the stage with MGMT, Lord Huron, and The Glorious Sons,[1] and has appeared on numerous television shows and radio stations. Lia launched the non-profit Ladies Who Rock 4 A Cause, an organization offering financial support and resources to women in crisis.[2].

Early Life

reference for Sharon played Keys and began to write songs at age 14. It was then that her mom so impressed with her talent awarded her daughter music lessons. Inspired by her music teacher’s magic words, “a creation isn’t a creation until you share it with someone”, Sharon went on learning her craft, performing in talent shows, and finally forming a band of her own. and Sharon was named 2017 Pop/Contemporary Artist of the Year at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville. Sharon Lia is a singer-songwriter, musician, and writer who began writing songs and playing the piano and keyboards at 14 years old. Throughout her teens she entered talent contents and continued to learn the craft of songwriting and performing. Early in her career, Lia was a children's interactive storyteller with music and in 2007 released a children's music album, Music in My Soul.

The Sharon Lia Band was formed in 2013 when Lia and her guitarist husband Rick Jannotti[4] Lia has performed at the Ladybug Music Festival, the Firefly Music Festival, and the Hard Rock Cafe, as well as touring in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.[5][6][1][7] Her music has received national and international airplay.[8]

Lia is the founder of the 501(c)(3) non-profit, Ladies Who Rock 4 a Cause, an organization offering financial support and resources to women in crisis. The non-profit raises money through rock concerts with an all-female lineup including performances by Taylor Dayne, Tiffany, Jennifer Paige, and Lia performing with the Sharon Lia Band.[9][10]
