Leatherbag is a rock band from Austin, Texas formed in 2005 by songwriter Randy Reynolds. The band's name comes from a passage in the James Joyce novel, "Finnegans Wake". Since 2005, Reynolds remains the sole songwriter of the group and has been accompanied by members of several Austin bands including, The Archibalds, Brother Machine, Golden Bear, The Channel, Jude/Ross, and the Sons Of Hercules.
The band currently features:
Randy Revynolds (guiatr/paino/vocals)
Geoff Dupree (guitar)
Drew Emmons (bass)
Kory Cook (drums/vocals)
While Leatherbag's beginnings were steeply rooted in Americana, the band now strongly indentifies itself with the New Sincerity movement.
