[edit]I copy-pasted this from the bell hooks article to practice. Hooks was born in Hopkinsville, a small, segregated town in Kentucky, to a working-class family. Her father, Veodis Watkins, was a custodian and her mother, Rosa Bell Watkins, was a homemaker. She had five sisters and one brother. An avid reader, she was educated in racially segregated public schools, and wrote of great adversities when making the transition to an integrated school, where teachers and students were predominantly white. She later graduated from Hopkinsville High School in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She obtained her BA in English from Stanford University in 1973, and her MA in English from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1976.
In 1983, after several years of teaching and writing, she completed her doctorate in literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a dissertation on author Toni Morrison.
Henrik Hallenberg Hansen (born 28 July 1979) is a Danish former professional football midfielder.
Club career
[edit]Hansen joined AC Horsens in the winter of 2007 and made an immediate impact on the team. AC Horsens, until then known as a defensive team with little offensive force was added much creativity with Hansen, and during his first year in the club he scored 11 Danish Superliga goals. On 18 December 2007, his performance was rewarded with a call-up for the Danish national football team.
Hansen has previously played for Næstved IF, Esbjerg fB and SønderjyskE.
On 14 July 2008, Hansen signed a 3½-year contract with OB.
