Charlottetown Fire Department (PEI)

The Charlottetown Fire Department is the Fire & Rescue Services serving the City of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The Department consist of approximately 85 Firefighters. CFD operates out of 2 Fire Stations. Station 1 having an Engine staffed by career firefighters 24/7 but the rest operating 100% Volunteer. Station 2 is 100% Volunteer Fire Station. CFD provides the following services to the City of Charlottetown, fire suppression, rescues, MVA's, assists to EMS, special services, HazMat, and more. CFD also provides Mutual Aid Support to its neighboring fire departments. The main neighboring departments are North Shore Fire Rescue located in York PEI. North River Fire Department located in Cornwall PEI. Crossroads Fire Department located in Crossroads PEI. All these departments are 100% Volunteer. ...

Station #1 is located at 89 Kent Street, Downtown Charlottetown. Island EMS also uses this Station as a Mobile Posting Location for Ambulances to provide coverage in that area.

Station #2 is located at 152 Saint Peters Road in Charlottetown. This station serves the "upper portion of town". This Station is 100% Volunteer.
