Tanner Onbirbak, professionally known by his online username SmallAnt and his stage name Tanner Ant, formerly known as smallant1, is a Canadian YouTuber, Twitch personality, and model. He was ranked the best speedrunner in the world, best known for playing video games like Super Mario Odyssey. The name Ant in his stage name was intended to be an alias for his surname. He got the name SmallAnt when he saw an ant on the window.

Ant was born in Japan and spent a portion of his childhood life there before living in Canada, and then the United States. He is Jewish.
He currently resides and is relocated in Canada.
His father, Shmulik (Saman) Onbirbak, was born to a Jewish family from Kazakhstan and moved to Israel as a teenager. SmallAnt stated that his father is a descendant of the Khazars, a nomadic Turkic group, further stating that his paternal ancestors have traveled through India with roots from Turkey and Lebanon before moving to Kazakhstan. His father's surname, Onbirbak, . His mother was born in the Siberian region of Russia to an Ashkenazi Jewish family. He was raised in a Christian household until the age of 5, by the time he began to attend a public school. As otherwise stated, he doesn't consider himself as Jewish in a religious sense.
His parents divorced when Ant was at the age of 3, leaving his biological father into a hidden appearance.
