Red Sea Mall

Owned by Muhammed Alawi the CEO of Red Sea Markets Co. He is also the first Arab business individual to join the board of International Council for Shopping Center (ICSC), he was recognized at the board meeting of ICSC in Las Vegas.[1] Red Sea Mall is one of the largest mall the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In the mall, among the blend of global and local brands to shop from, it also has a diverse range of restaurants, cafes and diners, various events take place like there are two permanent bazaars: Khan Al-Khalili and Al-Andlusia, the Sharrai Family event and many activities like carting, climbing, bowling are provided at the mall.[2][3] Furthermore, in the mall resides a 5 star hotel, Elaf Jeddah Hotel, and a passport office in which citizens and residents can find services like exit and re-entry visas, final exit visas and the issue and renewal of residence cards for domestic workers.[4]

Red Sea mall is reported to have received numerous awards, in both national and international awards ceremonies. These awards range from awards dedicated to the marketing teams at Red Sea Mall to awards for having the best shopping experience.

  • Awarded the “Most popular Shopping Center for 2015” and “CSR best practises award”.[5]
  • The “Shopping Center of the Year Award” and Certificate of Merit in “Best Use of Social Media in Marketing” for 2015 was awarded by the Asia Retail Congress (ARC) 2015 Retail Excellence Awards.[6]
  • TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence award for best shopping experience in 2015.[7]
  • Asian Shopping Malls Leadership Awards Awarded the Red Sea Mall with the Most Admired Asian Shopping Mall of the Year (Traditional Marketing: Sales Promotion), (Traditional Marketing: Cause Related Marketing), (New Media: Integrated Digital Campaigns), and (New Media: Social Media) awards.[8]

  • Received the Most Admired Shopping Mall of the Year – Marketing & Consumer Promotions by CMO Asia’s Asia Shopping Malls Excellence Awards Report for 2014.[9]
  • Awarded the Innovative Multi-Channel retailing Concept at the Retail and Leisure International (RLI) Awards ceremony.[10]
