This page has been created to see if there is any interest in a Wikiproject for Frogs (Anurans). This would include both frogs and toads.

The first priority, would be to fix up the Frog article. Although I have tried to clean this up, it is still depressing to read. It needs considerable amount of work. Then I would like to go down through the taxonomic classes (families, genera and species). The order of this does not have to be strict, but going from Order through to species level would be preferable.

Here are examples of what I have in mind. These articles, I have worked the most on:

• Frog (Needs much work)
• Hylidae (Needs some work)
• Litoria (Needs some work)
• Litoria caerulea (Needs very little work)

Not all the species level articles would need as much information as Litoria caerulea, as it is a very well known frog, with a lot known about it. I would put up a list (if there is enough interest) of the species which would need comprehensive articles, and those which would just need a photo, description, distribution of the frog (anything unique to that frog). Most frogs within a genus have very similar traits, and the common traits could be addressed in the genus article, with the exceptions and neccesities (description etc.) in the species article. Although this would obviously not work for large genera such as Litoria and Rana.
