Nando Kwabena Nkrumah (born 1979 in Kumasi, Ghana) is a German-Ghanaian artist.
Life
[edit]Nando Nkrumah was born to Beate Nkrumah (nee Kunz) and Josef Nkrumah. He first studied Industrial Design at the University of Essen (today Folkwang University) and the National University of Singapore and then at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, where he deepened his knowledge of the techniques of 3D graphics, drawing and digital painting. Today he lives and works in Cologne.
Work
[edit]His work is characterized by the fact that the artist fuses traditional and modern environments, symbols and architecture in his visual works in order to create futuristic and utopian spaces of accessibility. For this purpose, the artist uses both traditional techniques such as drawing and painting, as well as digital technologies such as Augmented Reality and Animation.
