Lois Rae Smith (born 20 April 1998), known mononymously as Lois Rae, is an English singer and songwriter. She has three singles available on all digital streaming platforms including 'BADDIE', 'THAT'S ME' and 'MIND'.

Early life[edit]

Lois Rae was born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent. Her father was born in Stoke-on-Trent, while her mother is from County Durham. She has one sister, Sasha and one brother, Lewis. She attended Alsager School and Sixth From and trained as a classical pianist as a child, before attending Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she attained a degree in Popular Music.

Career[edit]

Lois' first track 'BADDIE' which was released in November 2020 received support from Rob Adcock BBC Introducing from Stoke. Her second track 'THAT'S ME' which was released in January 2021 received support from DJ Ace on BBC Radio 1xtra, Ashanti Omkar on BBC Asian Network and Rob Adcock on BBC Introducing from Stoke. Her third track 'MIND' is released on 9th March and features East London Soundcloud rapper 'Wynts'. Lois has gigged at venues across the country including Band on the Wall, Deaf Institute and RNCM's Opera Theatre (Manchester) and has been featured in several blogs and magazines including The Manc, The Sentinel, FMS magazine, LOCK magazine, Made in Shoredich, Music Crowns and more. She has been hailed for championing female empowerment and confidence. Lois works alongside producer and songwriter Manon Dave (credits will.i.am, Che Lingo) who is published througt 7wallace/Universal Music Publishing.
