The Christchurch Northern Corridor is a motorway in Christchurch, New Zealand, linking State Highway 1 to .Queen Elizabeth II Drive. The Northern Corridor connects central Christchurch to State Highway 1 and the Waimakariri District and bypasses the residential suburbs of Belfast, Northwood and Redwood. The Motorway is 12 kilometres in length, and is Four Lane divided. The motorway forms part of State Highway 74.
Route (Northbound)
[edit]The Christchurch Northern Corridor begins in the suburb of St Albans, at a roundabout intersection with Cranford Street. A few hundred meters from the roundabout is a diamond intersection with Queen Elizabeth II Drive. It then goes over the road, and the Motorway Begins. The Next intersection is a few kilometres away. The intersection is with Belfast Road. This intersection only has a northbound off ramp, and a southbound on ramp. Another few kilometers now passes, and then there are 2 overpasses: one goes over a Railway Line, and the next one goes over Main North Road. Pass that, and you will find yourself merging onto the Christchurch Northern Motorway (State Highway 1)
