Appearance
A rugby union tournament at the Pacific Games (formerly the South Pacific Games) has taken place on several occasions. Unfortunately, detailed records of all tournaments have not been kept.
The rugby played has included fifteen-a-side, rugby sevens and touch rugby. Rugby league has also been played at the games.
Amongst the teams which have competed at the Pacific Games, are Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, all of which have competed in the Rugby World Cup, as well as lesser known teams such as the Solomon Islands, Wallis & Futuna and Papua New Guinea have competed in the Pacific Games.[1] (Wallis and Futuna has not played since the 1970s)
