Magelia WebStore

Magelia WebStore is an open-source e-commerce software designed for the Microsoft .Net environment. After three years of development, Magelia WebStore Open Edition V1 was released on January 27, 2012 under an Apache2 license.

This software is designed to fulfill the e-commerce requirements of medium to large businesses. Magelia WebStore enables e-commerce in an international environment and provides a multilingual, multi-currency features, as well as an international tax management system.

Magelia WebStore's service-oriented architecture enables the development of storefronts for desktops, tablets and smartphones.

The software code is developed in C# and Asp.NET. Technical requirements for Magelia WebStore include: .NET 4, IIS7, and SQL Server Express 2008 or above.

History

Magelia WebStore was developed by Magelia, a privately held business founded in 2007. Originally, the company focused on developing outsourced e-commerce activity before focusing on e-commerce software development in 2010. In 2011, Magelia received support from the European Regional Development Fund (EDFR) and other European funds to finance its research and development program.
