The BRA was formed when dissident banjo players refused to hand over their banjos, leading to a long and arduous series of trad sessions now referred to as The Problems.
The group split into multiple factions when its ringleader, shown in the image on the right, said "check out this banjo solo bra" and played so much banjo that even the banjo people were like:
