Andy Dodd (born April 4th) is an English Film Director and Writer. Probably best known for writing and directing the award winning independent film 'it's a love thing'.

Career[edit]

Andy started making films at 15 years of age using cine-camera's and full size VHS video camera's - roping his friends into becoming 'Zombies' usually. His main influence was George Romero - he remembers sneaking downstairs, late at night to put the uncut, original 'Dawn of the Dead' into the beta-max 'top loader' and being scared to death and mesmerized at the same time.

Hi first production was called 'Natalie still doesn't know about Louise' or 'the ridiculous Lothario' which was shot on film and appeared in Total Film magazine around 2000/1. After that, Andy sold a screenplay to a production company in Milton Keynes and continued making his own movies whilst working as AD/first AD plus more for other productions. Andy estimates he has worked on around 100 productions since 1999.

Personal life[edit]

Dodd is an avid football fan (Wolverhampton Wanderers FC) and martial artist.
