After reviewing the “Urban Dictionary” page, the Wiki page is good. For the most part everything look great and well organized. Information is easily recognizable and cited correctly, the links were working properly without any disturbances. The actual content on the page is educational, and I learned a lot about “Urban Dictionary” and some things about the founder Aaron Peckham. Even the image on the page provides an overview of how the website structured. Information gave an in depth inside of what “Urban Dictionary” and how it works. Although the “Urban Dictionary” Wikipedia page generally good there are some underlying sues. One issue is the page is out of date, you can see the with most of the references being more than three years old. Because “Urban Dictionary” still an active website there should be recent references about the site’s activities. Also, there are minor items that can be updated such as the “Alexa” rank under the image has changed so that can updated. An updated image of the website will very helpful as well, showing how “Urban Dictionary” looks like now. While on the topic of images, the picture on the current “Urban Dictionary” Wikipedia page is small, it can be larger for viewers to fully grasp how the website looks like. There should be a picture of Aaron Peckham, the creator of “Urban Dictionary”, providing viewers with more information about who is the founder.
My biggest issue with “Urban Dictionary” Wikipedia page is the blending of the creator from the actual website. It is the “Urban Dictionary” Wikipedia page and on the page Aaron Peckham is the established owner and founder of “Urban Dictionary” but the Wikipedia page mostly talks about Aaron Peckham. “Urban Dictionary” is Peckham’s creation but it has become a complete unity of its own. That is why information about Aaron Peckham’s life should be separate from “Urban Dictionary’s” core content but instead focus more on the site’s actual history. Just as the Google Wikipedia has its own page from the founders then “Urban Dictionary” should do also. The best thing to do is give Aaron Peckham his own section within the page then go more in depth about the actual website. Overall the “Urban Dictionary” Wikipedia page is good, it has minor issues but nothing that will discredit the overall page. The format and structure is perfect, all the technical features such as links are working. It just need a few updated revisions and it will be good as new.
