Arwa Ali Saeed Abdullah is an advocate for landmine survivors in Yemen.

Biography[edit]

Abdullah was ten when she lost both of her legs from a landmine accident.[1]

In 2009, she received the Survivors' Assistance Award from the Marshall Legacy Institute.[1] Abdullah works as an advocate for victims of landmines at the Yemen Association of Landmine and UXO Survivors (YALS).[2] YALS was founded in 2004 by the Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre to raise awareness of areas affected by landmines and unexploded ordinances (UXO) and also to help those who have become victims of landmines.[3]
