Biography[edit]
Melinda Josie (born 1982) is a Canadian artist and illustrator. She was born in Milton, Ontario, and soon after moved to Muskoka. Here she spent her younger years developing her craft. Her childhood was a happy one, full of picture books and pet bunnies. She attended Sheridan College in Oakville, then moved to Toronto in 2004, where she’s lived and worked since. She apprenticed for four years under fellow artist and illustrator Gary Taxali, from 2005 to 2009.
She is currently working free-lance illustrating children's books, editorial work, creating textile designs, and making fine art for gallery shows and commissions.

Children's Books[edit]
She fully illustrated "Le Géranium", a French Canadian children's publication, including 45 colour plates. The book was published in the fall of 2009 by Marchand de Feuilles and Bourgeon Publishing, Montréal, Canada.
