Gary Erickson (born 1957)[1] is an American businessman, author, cyclist, and co-founder of Clif Bar, an organic food and drink company. He and his wife, Kit Crawford, have an estimated net worth of $890 million.[2]
Early life and career
[edit]The grandson of Greek immigrants, he said that his grandmother and mother's cooking strongly influenced his creation of Clif Bar.[3]
Erickson was originally a saddle designer for bikes.[4] He worked at the Palo Alto based company called Avocet in the 1980s.[4]
Career
[edit]Recently, Erickson gained national attention when he and his wife took out a full page advertisement in the New York Times to call on the Kind company to use organic ingredients in their food.[5]
