The Province of Lesser Sunda (Indonesian: Soenda Kecil, Sunda Kecil) was a province in Indonesia located in the lesser sunda islands, consisting present day Bali, East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara, containing parts of Timor. The province was established in 1945 by the Indonesian government before later surrendered and returned the control to the NICA in 1946. It was only from 1950, after the dissolution of the United States of Indonesia and its constituent state State of East Indonesia was dissolved, the province governance was resumed.
