Teodoro Fracassi (Caserta, May 1st, 1888 - Rosario, March 15th , 1977), Argentine psychiatrist pioneer in the development of neurosurgery in Argentina, vice rector of the National University of Litoral and member of the National Academy of Medicine (Argentina).

Biography

Teodoro Fracassi was born in Caserta (Italy) where his parents, both from Buenos Aires (Argentina) were spending their holidays. He settled in Buenos Aires, where his family resided to get his Medical degree.


Once he finished his studies, he move to the city of Rosario where he joined the staff of renowned Dr. Clemente Álvarez.

Since his beginnings in the Medical profession he was attracted to Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, for that reason he moved to Germany, France and Switzerland, where he deepens his studies with renowned doctors of the time. It was then when his enthusiasm and interest in research started and publishes in different countries.
