Wayne was a former commuter railroad train station in Wayne Township, Passaic County, New Jersey. Located on the former Erie Railroad New York and Greenwood Lake Railroad, the station was one of two in the township for the Erie, located on Ryerson Avenue. The other station in Wayne and next station inbound, was the Mountain View station. The next station to the north was Pequannock. The station consisted of a single low-level side platform and a wooden station depot, constructed in 1880.
Railroad service in Wayne began with the opening of the Montclair Railway on January 1, 1873 between Pavonia Terminal in Jersey City and Monks in West Milford. The station at Ryerson Avenue remained in active service until the Erie Lackawanna Railroad discontinued service on September 30, 1966.
