I am Michael Kaye, a computer programmer specializing in Object-Oriented Programming, and a believer in eXtreme Programming.

I am a Trekkie, and spend a lot of my Wikipedia time over on the Star Trek pages.

My contributions, so far, have all been minor; mainly grammatical changes (not always when signed in). My largest contributions have been to the Paraty article, taking some of the statistical data from the Portuguese version of the page. I am a Wikibooks member, where all my changes so far have been grammatical. However, I'm hoping to make some more significant contributions to the Portuguese book (specifically the new Brazilian Portuguese section).

I am a firm believer in Free Software (and Open Source). Hence, my commitment to using Wikipedia as my primary source of information. I run GNU/Linux at home, and have no reason to run Windows.

The motto of the WITUK is Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense, which translates to, "Let him be shamed who thinks ill of it".

This motto reflects a key Wikipedian desire, and is a reference to the British 'Order of the Garter'.

There are things particularly relevant to British Wikipedians at the UK Wikipedians' notice board.
