TAGTech


TAGTech[1] (Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technologies Company), is a Jordanian company involved in the technology industry, and is specialized in the design and manufacture of technological devices designated for personal or commercial uses. The Company’s main headquarters are located in Amman-Jordan.[2]


TAGTech began operation in 2011, when it manufactured its first device under the name TAGITOP.[3]

The Company consequently formed a partnership with SAMSUNG in order to manufacture the TAGITOP II device during 2011, with screen sizes of 10 and 14 inches.[4]


In 2019, and after a few years, TAGTech PC sales started to grow rapidly. During the past few years, and specifically in 2019, TAGTech [4] announced the launch of its new tablets and laptops, which it had developed, designed and manufactured through its China-based factory “Abu-Ghazaleh for Technologies (Shenzhen) Ltd., which is registered as a Chinese company. This company has manufactured the “TAG DC I” tablet, “TAGITOP Multi” and “TAGITOP Plus”, making these the first devices worldwide to be designed and manufactured through Arab investments.[5]


TAGTech has distributed its products and services throughout more than 50 different locations around the world [6]. TAGTech offers its smart devices, which include laptops, tablets and cell-phones, through Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global offices all around the world, along with the Company’s network of retailers and authorized agents.[6]


Name and Logo: The name “TAGTech: was derived from the first three letters of “Talal Abu-Ghazaleh”, and Tech from “Technologies” (Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technologies).

TAGTech Factories:

The Company has invested in the erection and establishment of its first production line in China two years ago, and work is currently underway to establish its first factory in the city of Madaba in Jordan, whilst a similar factory is being planned to be launched in Egypt, so as to serve other parts of the Arab world.[7]


Products:

The Company’s products include the TAGITOP range of laptops, which come in more than 8 versions, the TAG-Tablet devices in four versions, and the TAG Smartphones, which come in three versions.[8]
