'Jemima Wyman
A 45 year old artist that was in born 1977, in Sydney Australian and is an artist who now lives and works in Brisbane and Los Angeles. She graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a bachelors of fine arts in visual arts with honors. To expand her education she then attended The California Institute of Art in Los Angeles with a Masters in fine arts in 2007.
Art
Wyman presented her artwork in videos, performances, photography and paintings. Wyman’s artwork aesthetic is to create social change. She spent almost a decade observing protest to better interpret those event in her art. She examined formal and psychological potentiality of camouflage and masking in reference to collective identity. In one of her series in 2008, called Aggregate Icon she printed, hand-cuts and collages images from protests that include the Occupy movement, the Zapatista Army of National Liberation and Pussy Riot to create a kaleidoscopic language of resistance masse.
