I was born in the UK but now live in Ireland.
My principal interests are environmentalism, renewable energy, motorsport and music. Although my greatest passion is learning new facts and information.
I love meeting new people and constantly learning new things, and Wikipedia is such a great environment for both. Sadly I am only fluent in English, so will only be able to make contributions to English Wikipedia.
I always appreciate reactions and additional contributions to the articles I have started.
Contributions
[edit]Main areas of interest have included:
- Ancient History, particularly Roman and Greek, including making edits to Roman commander Quintus Bruttius Sura to verify his role in campaigns in Boeotia
- UK motorsport, including creating pages for British racing drivers Charlie Christina Martin and Rick Parfitt Jr. - particularly differentiating the former from a previous British racing driver who raced after WWII. This also led me to create a page for [[John Walton (Formula One) as he was someone I remember from TV in my childhood and was prominent in F1 in the 1990s
- Supporter of improved equality for women and LGBT+ people, which led to the creation of Charlie Martin's page, as well as the creation of the Racing Pride page, which is something new and pretty unique in the motorsport fan community
- Interest in electric vehicles and the role of cars in the Climate Crisis - which led me to create pages on Chris Ramsey (adventurer) and IrishEVs having read about them both elsewhere, as well as adding contributions to Astongate and Toyota
- Since moving to Ireland I have a growing interest in Irish music, which is little known around the world - outside U2. My continuing education about contemporary Irish music has led me to learn about Emma Langford, a singer songwriter from Limerick, which led to me creating her page
See here for a list of the pages I started. While these are pages that I have created, I thank everyone who has made a contribution to these - it is always a community effort.
