Calxeda is an Austin based company that is developing ARM based servers. The goal is to make use of the ARMs low cost and low power consumption to produce servers that are inexpensive to purchase and maintain.

Calxeda was originally named Smooth-Stone, but changed it's name in Nov 2010.

Funding

In Nov 2010 Calxeda received $48 Million in funding from venture capitalists including ARM, ATIC, Battery Ventures, Flybridge Capital Partners, Highland Capital Partners, and Texas Instruments
